R-Tuned
A street racing game from Sega,
developed by AM2. The game runs on the Sega Lindbergh system and supports up
to four players via linked play. The courses available are all modeled on
real life cities, with players able to race on the streets of Hong Kong, New
York, Shibuya and Shinjuku. Each course has 4 different tracks which are
ranked from A to D and vary in difficulty.
There is a nitro button on the steering wheel which gives your car a huge
boost of nitrous allowing you to accelerate at top speeds past your rivals.
The game also places a big focus on drifting, with players drifting around
corners and scoring as many points as possible.
The car line up includes all the popular tuned cars including Toyota Supras,
Nissan Skylines, Honda NSX, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX, Subaru Impreza
WRX, and more.
IC cards are supported which allow players to save their game data, with
players able to buy and customize their ride. Players win money at the end
of races which they can spend in the car shop.
