Jumpin' Jackpot Namco
Jumpin’
Jackpot is the newest game from Namco. It is an interactive game that gives
players a little workout. Essentially it is a virtual jump rope, with the rope
made out of lines of bulbs that go around a dome. The bulbs light up
consecutively in a clockwise pattern on the machine, you must time it right so
when the lights reach the bottom part of the game you jump over it. The game
play takes place on a platform in front of the dome; sensors read if you jump
high enough or with enough time to actually make it over the “jump rope”.
Each consecutive jump you succeed at will light up a letter in the word JACKPOT.
Try to spell out the full word to win bonus tickets. Players can also select a
Jackpot level by inserting 1, 2, or 3 coins, 1 being the easiest. I still have
yet to get past the A, but I also have only tried playing in heels. It will take
a few practice tries before a player will be able to light up the full word
because the jump rope goes around with increased speed for every successful jump
you make, making it more difficult. This game is also a lot of fun to watch
other people play, especially grown men who are competitive. Jumpin’ Jackpot
is sure to bring you back to playing on the playground at recess when you were
8.
